Here's what the community has to say about Promise Neighborhood.
When I brought my daughter to Math Club, I immediately felt a warm and inviting feeling of safety and acceptance. I wanted to supervise my daughter because it was a new place so I started volunteering. My communition skills and confidence have progessed. I now work at Five Guys as a manager. I was shy at first but I managed to convince our CEO to donate $1000 dollars to Promise Neighborhood and form a continuing relationship with us.
Within one year, I had a lot of things change including the death of my favorite aunt, getting sick and becoming homeless after our family lost our apartment. Through it all, Promise Neighborhood was the one constant. Always there. Always pushing me to do as much as I can, and always supporting. I won two essay contest and what I remeber most is Mr. Smith and Promise Neighborhood always pushing me and supporting me to reach higher.
